MPG North Update - Invasive Species, Hawkweed

Hawkweed management continues at MPG North. Last year, we searched for hawkweed patches and spot-sprayed aminopyralid + 2,4 D herbicide with surfactant on each plant. The plants wilted and died. This year, hawkweed blooms appeared in both new patches and some of those treated last year. We detected 47 total hawkweed patches this year; 12 more than last year.
